Security Officer – Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
We are looking for a competent Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our Client’s premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior.
A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation.
The goal is to help our clients in maintaining excellent and safe environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY
- To protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- To protect customer life and property
- Be punctual on site following the duty roaster
- Attending daily parades and obeying instructions from the superiors
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly buildings and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Perform first aid or CPR
- Follow KZS Rules and Regulations with complete uniform and PPE on standby.
- Other duties as may be assigned
REQUIREMENT
- Proven experience as security officer or guard
- Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
- Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
- Be able to speak a good English
- High School diploma is required
